Deputy Juvenile Probation Officer
Salary Range: $27.5811 – $41.3777 per hour with Employer-Paid Police and Fire PERS Contribution (Employees is this classification typically start at the beginning of the salary range, with opportunities for salary advancement based on merit)
Lyon County is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Deputy Juvenile Probation Officer in the Dayton and Silver Springs areas. This role involves supervising and counseling juveniles, along with their families and other stakeholders, in cases where juveniles are accused or adjudicated of criminal activity, or where their behavior indicates a need for supervision. The position requires various responsibilities including home visits, school visits, court preparation, and court testimony. Additionally, candidates must be prepared for potential situations requiring physical restraint and/or taking individuals into custody.
