My priorities for a stronger Lyon County:

  • Controlled and responsible growth that safeguards our rural character, water resources, and quality of life while inviting sustainable opportunities county-wide.
  • Economic diversification anchored in agriculture and mining as foundational industries, while pursuing quality jobs in industry, tourism, and innovation without compromising our core strengths.
  • Robust protection for agriculture and mining to preserve jobs, heritage, and long-term community stability throughout Lyon County.
  • Expanded youth recreation and opportunities by investing in parks, sports programs, trails, 4-H growth, and community activities to engage our kids and encourage them to build their futures here.
  • Enhanced public safety and infrastructure improvements to support families and enable balanced, county-wide progress.
  • Active listening through regular town halls and transparent communication to elevate voices from every corner of Lyon County.
  • Fostering reciprocal pride and a sense of stewardship across all our communities.

  • Multi-generational Nevadan and lifelong Lyon County resident, deeply connected to our shared history, values, and rural way of life.
  • Degree in Fire Science and Administration, delivering specialized expertise in emergency services leadership, operations, and public safety management to advocate effectively for strong fire/EMS services and preparedness county-wide.
  • Degree in Finance and Economics with honors from Alpha Chi, and Delta Mu Delta, providing strong skills in fiscal responsibility, economic analysis, budgeting, and strategic growth for transparent and resident-first county decisions.
  • Nearly 18 years serving as a professional Firefighter/EMT/Hazardous Materials Technician across Northern Nevada, (including ranks of Captain, Engine Operator and Firefighter-Medic roles), plus volunteer, paid reserve firefighter positions.  I further served as an adjunct instructor for the Nevada State Fire Marshal, offering proven hands-on knowledge in Hazardous Materials emergency response.
  • Leader in local business promotion, and event planning through roles in the Yerington Chamber of Commerce (Board member, Vice President, and President), supporting economic development and job creation.
  • Consistent engagement with Lyon County Commission meetings to stay fully informed on county-wide issues, policies, and resident priorities.
  • Developer of the upcoming โ€œTownYโ€ app (โ€œWherever, Whenever, Always Localโ€), created to connect residents, strengthen small businesses, and increase community participation throughout Lyon County.
  • Board member for Farmyโ€™s Off-Road Park (Farmy Inc.), helping develop a safe, family-oriented OHV recreation area to boost outdoor tourism, youth engagement, and events that serve the entire county.
  • Board member for Rural Nevada Counseling, advancing access to outpatient mental health and substance use treatment services across Lyon County, addressing rural family and community health needs.
  • Family man raising children in Lyon County, fully committed to youth programs, education, and local recreation so the next generation thrives right here.
